Tool Guardian is a routing plugin designed to address the issue of tool definitions consuming context window space in MCP scenarios involving local models. It compresses dozens of specific tools into 6 generic tools and uses an on-demand discovery mechanism to significantly reduce initial token usage. The plugin supports native integration with DeepSeek Harness and provides tool result archiving, cost statistics, and progressive disclosure. It can compress tool definitions from approximately 20,000 tokens to 1,209 tokens, and works in conjunction with Context Guardian to optimize context management.
